This month, we’re proud to highlight Morrow Communications as they continue to lead by example in their sustainability journey, progressing confidently into the next phase of decarbonisation in line with their commitment to achieve Net Zero by 2050; or sooner.
By switching to a green electricity tariff, Morrow has delivered a 13% reduction in electricity costs, proving that sustainable choices can also strengthen commercial performance. This transition enabled the organisation to achieve a 100% reduction in Scope 2 emissions. With all assets fully electric and no direct fuel use, Morrow also reports zero Scope 1 emissions, meaning they have reached a 100% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions five years ahead of their 2030 target.
Looking ahead, and with support from Carbonfit, Morrow is now exploring the installation of solar PV to further reduce operating costs and protect the business from energy price volatility. This next step will deepen their energy resilience while continuing to lower carbon impact.
Their journey doesn’t stop there. Morrow will begin measuring and addressing Scope 3 emissions, expanding their focus beyond direct operations to include their wider value chain. This demonstrates a forward-thinking, transparent approach to sustainability, one that recognises that meaningful climate action extends beyond immediate control.
Morrow has also registered with the Carbon Disclosure Project, reinforcing their commitment to accountability and transparent reporting as they continue progressing towards Net Zero.
A strong example of how Northern Ireland organisations can combine ambition, measurable results, and commercial awareness; delivering impact today while building a more resilient tomorrow.
