In the dynamic manufacturing environment, the Camlin Group is making significant strides towards sustainability through a strategic partnership with Carbonfit. Their commitment to reducing carbon emissions and embracing renewable energy solutions is setting a new standard for environmental responsibility within the industry.

Our understanding of sustainability is deeply embedded within our purpose, “To Better Engineer Futures”. Our sustainability framework has three core pillars:

• Governance and Performance

1. Targeting a 46% reduction in scope one and two emissions by 2030 based on the 2019 base year and aiming for a 100% reduction by 2040, 10 years before the deadline, circa 4.2% reduction year on year.
    
2. Committed to achieving 100% reduction and scope 3 admissions by 2050, demonstrating proactive environmental stewardship.
    
3. Identified energy saving measures resulting in a remarkable saving of 471,422 KWH.
    
4. Identified approximately 200,000 and annual cost savings through energy efficiency initiatives.
    
5. Plans to install solar PV systems in 2025 and 2026 to further reduce reliance on traditional energy sources.

Additionally, they have committed to achieving a 100% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2050. These goals underscore Camlin's proactive approach to mitigating its environmental impact and aligning with global sustainability objectives.

Partnering with CarbonFit, the Camlin Group is implementing a robust carbon reduction plan that is yielding significant results. They have identified and will implement energy-saving measures, resulting in a remarkable saving of 471,422 kWh. In addition to the environmental benefits, these efforts will lead to substantial financial savings with Camlin Group realising approximately £200,000 and annual cost savings through energy efficiency measures.
