Energy Efficient Lighting: Unitrunk has successfully converted all lighting across their offices, factories, and branch network to LED. This switch to energy-efficient lighting has significantly reduced energy consumption across their entire operation.
Vantrunk Forklift Fleet Conversion: At their Vantrunk facility, Unitrunk has converted their entire forklift fleet to electric, further reducing their carbon footprint and reliance on fossil fuels.
Lisburn Office Insulation: The office buildings at their Lisburn site have been insulated to improve energy efficiency, ensuring that less energy is required to maintain optimal working conditions.
Solar Power at Lisburn: The installation of solar panels at Unitrunk’s Lisburn manufacturing site has been a game-changer. These panels produce over 100kWh/day on average annually, providing enough power to operate the entire office and manufacturing facilities. This initiative not only reduces Unitrunk’s carbon emissions but also contributes significantly to a cleaner environment.
Planned Projects: Unitrunk is planning to expand solar installations across their Lisburn site and introduce electric heat mats for factory workers, enhancing comfort while reducing energy consumption. Additionally, they plan to install solar panels across their entire depot network next year, bringing them 70% closer to going off-grid.
EV Fleet Transition: Unitrunk has transitioned their sales team to a fleet of hybrid and fully electric vehicles, operating throughout the UK and Ireland.
